Using numerous book and veterinary resources, over 25 years of veterinary experience, and the knowledge of the challenges that new dog owners must overcome, this presentation is geared toward two goals:
Steer new owners away from a breed that may not be a ‘good fit’ for their family
Equip them with the practical training techniques one will need when looking at a certain dog breed
If one understands the natural temperament of a dog breed, one will understand if a dog is a good fit for one’s family, and what challenges and training one needs to teach the dog and puppy so you can have the ‘best dog ever’!
